Peter Sobe is a university lecturer and researcher at the Institute of Computer Engineering at the University of Luebeck, Germany, since 1999. He received his Diploma (1995) and Doctoral Degree (2001) in computer science from the Dresden University of Technology, Germany. In addition, he received a postdoctoral lecture qualification from the University of Lübeck in 2009. He is a member of the German Informatics Society (GI) and the IEEE Computer Society. He contributes for numerous program committees of national and international conferences and workshops and is a reviewer of international journals.
His research interests include parallel computing, distributed and dependable storage technologies and fault-tolerant distributed systems. He published own research work in more than 30 scientific papers and articles. Parts of his work have been supported by German Research Foundation (DFG). He also worked for projects that were funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Technology (BMBF) and industry.
