Prof. Bode has a long experience in research training particularly as head of SFB 342 "Werkzeuge und

Methoden für die Nutzung paralleler Rechnerarchitekturen" (19902000)

and as a member of

Graduiertenkolleg "Kooperation und Ressourcenmanagement in verteilten Systemen".

Prof. Bode succeeded together with Prof. Zenger (TUM) and Prof. Rüde (FAU Erlangen) to initiate in

2003 the Bavarian Graduate School of Computational Engineering (http://www.bgsce.de) a Master of

Honors Program within the Elitenetzwerk Bayern. He is also a member of the research training group

CESIM (Center for Simulation Technology in Engineering) in the InnovaTUM Program, which was

selected in 2005 from the university board as one of the 14 central research areas of the newly created

TUM Institute of Advanced Study.
